Mastoiditis - Before the use of antibiotics, acute mastoiditis was the most common complication of acute otitis media (AOM). Antibiotic treatment of AOM has decreased the incidence of acute mastoiditis.Mastoiditis has been classified into 2 types: classic and latent.
